Who we are
Elastia is the controller of personal information collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@elastialabs.com or at UCL East Marshgate, 7 Sidings Street, Stratford, London E20 2AE, United Kingdom.
What we collect
If you complete the enquiry form we collect the name, organisation, work email address, selected application and any message you provide. If you email us directly we hold the contents of that correspondence. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address and browser type, for security and reliability.
We do not ask for special category data. Please do not send commercially sensitive operating data through the form — we will put a confidentiality agreement in place first.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your information only to respond to your enquiry, assess whether we can help, and maintain the resulting business relationship. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: namely responding to enquiries made to us and conducting business correspondence. Server logs are processed on the same basis, for security.
We do not use your information for marketing without your consent, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
Who we share it with
We use third-party providers to operate the site and process form submissions: Netlify for enquiry handling and Netlify for website hosting. They process data on our instructions under contract. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.
Where it is stored
Our website and enquiry submissions are handled by Netlify, a provider based in the United States which operates a global content delivery network. Your information may therefore be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, transfers are made under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or an equivalent safeguard. Email correspondence is held in our business email system.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a commercial relationship are deleted within 24 months. Correspondence connected to a project is retained for the life of that relationship and for six years afterwards, in line with normal business record-keeping.
Cookies and third-party requests
This website sets no cookies. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking services, and the site loads no fonts, scripts or other resources from third parties — everything is served from our own domain. If we add analytics in future we will update this notice first.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask us to transfer it. Write to hello@elastialabs.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
We will update this notice if our processing changes, and will revise the date above when we do.
